the booties that kicked my booty

I don't usually like to have any sewing related posts back to back but I just couldn't help myself. Shoes are my least favorite item to make. The results are always the cutest but it too much pressure to make 2 seperate items identical in size. It's a little bit easier said than done. I wanted to challenge myself and find a shoe pattern that would melt my heart, and I think I found it!

Now to introduce the pom-pom bootie...

Loves yet?

I purchased the pattern here, and spent WAY too long making them. It was tough but SO worth the effort. These little lady's taught me a lesson about my seamstress ego (Im NOT as good as I think I am!)

Mary Jane styled, closed with a faux button snap making sure babys feet are nice and snug!

I'm so happy with the result! I definetly need some more practice on these bad boys before Im ready to list them in the shop. I just had to share the love!!
Have a great weekend!

Kristin, I don't tell you enough but I think your sewing projects are so ambitious and amazing. I want to say we had a sewing class in jr high together, or maybe that was Mandi, either way it hasn't stuck with me, or I with it. And anyways, you are so creative with color choice and fabrics and I just love everything you stitch! My favorite has to be the Alice inspired skirts--LOVE LOVE LOVE!! and the booties are so so adorable! There I told you, whew, now I can sleep better at night.
