My Ode to Brode

Lately I have had some struggles with my oldest, Brody. I am becoming less and less patient with him as the days pass. Thinking about how my attitude has been towards him today, I was prompted to bust out his baby pictures. I immediatley did and I was instantly filled with gratitude and comfort, it made me realize that I was letting life get in the way of whats important. He has grown so fast! I remember being pregnant with him, remember that I always knew he'd be a boy, no doubt. I remember that Brody was the first name we thought of and knew it was his name, no back ups!!! Im so thankful we had him first, he is such a good big brother and he's growing into his own little person! With that, I wanted to share a few shot of my big boy from his earlier years! These pictures are scanned so there not in the best condition, sorry!

Things to keep me busy

Ive been keeping busy with my newest obsession sewing, so here are a few things I have been doing. My mom is chillin up in heaven with her mouth wide open ASTONISHED that her little girl loves to sew!!! My goal is to open an etsy shop, make some side cash and contribute financially to the family for the first time since I became a mom! With that said...
I need some help coming up with a product name for myself/etsy shop. I want it to be original, fit my personality but not baby specific because I hope to further my horizons later on. Leave me a comment if you have any ideas, some crazy examples that I like are: Angry Chicken, Spoonflower, Rockstar Lullabies, Sew Bee It...totally random I know.
I got my first paying customer...HOLLA! The baseball blankie was for her, normally I would never buy this material but hey, whatev. Today I just got a 2nd order from someone who wants 3 blankies w/ matching bows!! Im excited about that so I just wanted to share!

newborn bows
bows inside with babys name
I lost my camera case, whipped this up real quick
matching burp rag with blankie, stiched with yellow thread...there was a border but I went ape shi on it...long story
thin layer of batting inside, perfect to lay down and play or wrap baby up
Customer lives in chicago, obsessed with the Cubs
I guess its my personal touch, I usually add babys name on blankie, it looks better in person I swear
No batting in this one, its SUPER comfy

IM TAKING ORDERS!! If you want any of these yummy, comfy blankies just let me know. Leave a comment and I'll get back to you about price and timeline...YAH! i feel so buisness like right now!

the infamous memory tag!!!

Hey der...I was tagged by an old school buddy of mine so have fun!!!

Memories...I hope you will play along. Here are the directions:
1. Add a comment on my blog and leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot just do anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments!

Family Reunion

This Labor day weekend we got to go back up to our family cabin for the Palmers 30th family reunion. We left Thursday a.m. and got home Monday late p.m. It was a long trip full of good times and stressful times (my kids have a hard time sleeping up there). The children had a blast. Brody had plenty of adventures in the woods and felt super cool with a foam pirate sword he had, he barely ate anything but crap candy and was asleep every night by 8:30!! Saylee had a hard first night, we're learning that in order for her to sleep AT ALL she has to be in a room all by herself. So she got VP accomodations and slept in the cabin in her own room while we slept in the tent. She loved getting dirty and playing with all the rocks/dirt/grass/water she could get her hands on! Grady got to hang with alot of other babies and hes rolling over so well! I think he picked up on the other babies, he broke in his first tooth so his last couple of nights he was cranky, but there were plenty of people around to give him love! Dus and I got to relax and play some mad canasta, we all had a great time but Im SO glad to be home and now my house is a total mess and I have mountains of laundry to do and I dont want to do any of it!
