Practice makes perfect!

Here are three receiving blankets that I made for a friends baby shower. They all have burp rags to match. Again, not so hot with the "displaying" things so theres a close-up shot so you can see the patterns. Unfortunately I was unable to go to the actual shower so Im not sure of her reaction but I think they were a hit! I know they look amazing but hold off your orders im just too swamped right now!! Ha Ha Ha...

What a clown!

So after Brodys decides to put his magnet letters on his fingers, he says "look at me, look at me!" (he says that ALL the time!) When I look at him he says "mamma...take picture?" I laughted so hard! For some reason when I took the picture Brody decided to growl- this is the end result!! I love this kid!!!

Gradys blessing

On Sunday we had the privelge of blessing Grady in church. We had a pretty good turnout and he looked adorable. My in-laws saved us a seat in the 2 row (we are not an "up front" kind of family) so i was flustered. When they announced it was time to do the blessing, Grady was just chillin in his car seat still strapped in and everything! After sacrament we had our friends and family over to the house for breakfast. After we ate, Dustin gave a special blessing to Saylee. It was very sweet and pretty powerful, there wasnt a dry eye in the house! All in all it was a memorable day. I was running around like a crazy lady so theres no group shots of Dus, Grady and I.

Junque Fair

Bright and early saturday morning I hit downtown Mesa for a vintage junque fair. I had alot of wonderful finds, I could have spent a thousand dollars there but guess what, I dont have a thousand dollars...so...Im new to this style of decor and I havn't the slighest idea of where or how to display my new favorite things. Im just gonna wing it! Lindsay told me,"Think outside the box," with which I replied, "Lindsay, you LIVE outside the box!" She has such an amazing talent for finding cheap things and giving them new life!
The white frame has a chalkboard inside

on the left is a sconce with shelf laying on its side

My first creation

For my birthday in December I got a sewing machine, I wanted one bad and its only taken me six months to bust it out and experiment. This is a recieving blanket with matching burp rag. I have no idea what Im doing so its not the best but Im hoping to get better. I couldnt think of a cute way to display so sorry if its a little dull! Heres Grady modeling it for, and yes he is naked!
"I love it! Its so comfy! Im naked!"

My talented husband!

Yesterday we had some time to check up on a few houses Dustins designed. This is one of my favorites. The above pic is only about 3/4ths of the front elevation...its huge! Dustin is so talented and loves his work. He has such a great desire to design houses that families can call home and make lifelong memories in. Way to go McGruber...I love you!
Front entry (all marble)
wood paneling in office (before stain)
small shot of the BIGGEST closet Ive ever seen
View from balcony (its nicer than it looks!) Its in Las Sendas

About 4 minutes after taking this shot we were leaving the house. I was walking down the main staircase and slipped on a stupid marble stair and tumbled my fat butt down 3 or 4 stairs! It knocked the wind out of me and BOY did it leave a mark!

Date Night!!

Friday night Dus and I along with Sarah, Jay, Tanj and James hit up some bowling at a super nice Bruinswick in Gilbert. The first hour we bowled old school but our second hour was cosmic bowling and of coarse I was into that. We ate some food, danced (well just me!) and had alot of fun! Tanj had a coupon so we did it all for free! Fun feels better when your doing it free of charge!!
Jay and Sarah (1st night without Noah!)
Cosmic crazy!!
Keepin in domestically real!
